Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Goliard app and goliard.app (the "Service"), operated by Goliard. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who can use Goliard

Goliard is for people of legal drinking age in their location. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

What Goliard is — and isn't

Goliard offers curated recommendations and a concierge that suggests places to eat and drink. Recommendations are opinions offered in good faith, not guarantees. Hours, availability, prices, and whether a venue is even open can change without notice. Always confirm with the venue, and please drink responsibly.

Subscriptions and purchases

• Goliard offers auto-renewing subscriptions and may offer voice credits or packs. Current pricing is shown in the app before you buy.
• Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard Apple EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

Reservations and partner links

Some venues include a "Reserve" link handled by a third party such as OpenTable. Those bookings are subject to the partner's terms, and we may earn an affiliate commission. As stated across Goliard, commissions never affect what is curated or how Boswell ranks a place.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or resell the curated database or curator notes.
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the Service or Boswell.
• Use the Service for anything unlawful.

Intellectual property

The Goliard name, brand, curation, curator notes, and editorial content are owned by Goliard and protected by law. Using the Service does not grant you any right to reuse them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Goliard is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or for your experience at any venue.

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; the date above reflects the latest version. We may suspend or end access that violates these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
